The principals of Germ-Free Planet are Dr. Merle Jensen, Thomas L. Abbott and David C. Smallhouse, all formerly associated with the The University of Arizona, College of Agriculture, in various capacities.

Approximately eight years ago, researchers at The College of Agriculture re-discovered the chemical Trichloromelamine (TCM), a sanitizer used by the U.S. Army. It was found that TCM had a broad spectrum of agricultural applications, and Germ-Free Planet was formed to develop these opportunities commercially.

Provisional patents have been applied for these protocols.
